  Legislation came into force on 1 January 2024 creating the Climate-related Disclosures Register.

• Lodging climate statements opens in a new window

  Around 200 entities in New Zealand are required to prepare and lodge climate statements. The first climate statements are due by 30 April 2024.

• Searching the register opens in a new window

  As climate reporting entities (CREs) lodge their climate statements these will be available for searching, free of charge.

• Fees and levies opens in a new window

  Climate reporting entities must pay a Companies Office fee to lodge a climate statement along with the appropriate FMA levy.
